Before immersing yourself into the ODI series, why not take a few days to recover from your flight and discover the outstanding beauty of NZ’s renowned Bay of Islands? As well as the incredible natural beauty of this area, you will be at the birthplace of modern New Zealand – where the Maori and British signed the Waitangi Treaty back in 1840. This extension will also have you back in Auckland in time to see the T20 Tri Series final on 21 February.

Because of the range of choices, we do not include the international flights in our tour price. However, we can arrange them for you, taking into account your closest UK departure point, airline preference, class of travel and/or stopovers you may wish to make. Contact us to discuss your requirements. You are also free to book your own flights and/or use frequent flyer points. Arrival in Auckland
Upon arrival you will be met and privately transferred to the Langham Hotel for check in. Remainder of the day is ‘at leisure’ for you to recover from your journey.Sunday 18 Februaryb
Today we travel north from Auckland along the Hibiscus Coast towards the Bay of Islands. First stop is at Parry Kauri Park, before continuing to Matakohe and the award winning Kauri Museum which documents the pioneering days of milling and gum collection from the giant Kauri trees. We then continue on to the Bay of Islands to check into the Pahia Beach Resort & Spa for a relaxing three night stay.Monday 19 Februaryb
This morning we will take a guided tour of the Waitangi Treaty House – the place where the Maori & the British signed the historic agreement that lead to British sovereignty over New Zealand. This afternoon we take a cruise amongst the idyllic islands of the bay to the Hole in the Rock and visit the historic town of Russell – New Zealand’s first capital.Tuesday 20 Februaryb

Today we bid farewell to the Bay of Islands as we travel back to Auckland through farmlands, the city of Whangarei and alongside the beautiful beaches of the Hibiscus Coast, stopping for lunch en-route. Upon arrival we check back into the Langham Hotel.This evening we head to Eden Park for the final of the Trans-Tasman T20 Tri Series. Which two teams will make the final from England, NZ and Australia? Return coach transfers are included.
