Negombo
On arrival at Colombo airport, you will be met and transferred to the Jetwing Blue Hotel in the nearby seaside village of Negombo. Rooms are upgraded Super Deluxe category. Check in time is 2pm. If you are on the early morning flight into Colombo you may want to consider a pre-registered room, which would allow immediate check in – contact us for a quoteAlternatively, you may choose to go to Colombo for the 2nd ODI (day) – supplement payable.
DAY 2 Sunday 30 November

Negombo –Tangalle
Today we travel to Tangalle. En-route we will stop in Galle to visit the iconic fort – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – and the Galle cricket ground. After lunch (cost included) we continue on to Tangalle on the south coast to check into our deluxe rooms at the Ranna 212 Beach resortDAY 4 Tuesday 02 December

Tangalle – Nuwara Eliya
Today we depart Tangalle and wind our way north to the hill station of Nuwara Eliya, stopping for lunch on the way (cost included). Built entirely during the 19th century Nuwara Eliya’s architecture mimics that of an English village. Nuwara Eliya
Day at leisure to relax and take the opportunity to watch the 4th ODI from Colombo on TV. You may like to have a round of golf on the renowned championship course.DAY 9 Sunday 07 December
Nuwara Eliya – Habarana
This morning we visit a tea plantation before travelling on to Dambulla stopping en-route for lunch (cost included) at the Matale Spice Gardens. After lunch we visit the World Heritage site of the Dambulla Cave Temple before checking into upgraded deluxe rooms at the Cinnamon Lodge Hotel.DAY 10 Monday 08 December
Minneriya National Park
Morning at leisure. This afternoon we embark on a jeep safari in the Minneriya Giritale National Park, home to Sri Lanka’s wildlife such as Sambar deer, leopards and elephants Afternoon at leisureDAY 11 Tuesday 09 December
Sigiriya Rock Fortress
This morning we visit another World Heritage Site – the stunning 5th Century Sigiriya rock fortress, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The ‘Lion Rock’ at 200 meters high was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. At its base is a moat, rampart and extensive gardens. Take a climb to the top of the rock to view the world-renowned frescoes.Afternoon at leisure
DAY 12 Wednesday 10 December
5th ODI – Pallekele, Kandy (day)
This morning we head to Kandy, arriving in time to check into the Earl’s Regency Hotel before heading to the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium for the 5th ODIDAY 13 Thursday 11 December

Day at leisure. This evening we visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, after which there will be time to explore and/or have dinner at a restaurant in Kandy (own expense).DAY 14 Friday 12 December

This morning we visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, followed by a tour of the city of Kandy.This evening, join us for our ‘Cricket Cocktail Party’ where there will be ample opportunity to meet our guest ex-cricketer who will offer insights into all matters cricket. Drinks and canapés included.

6th ODI – Pallekele, Kandy (day/night)

Today we leave Kandy and head to Colombo, stopping after an hour’s drive at the famous Pinnewela Elephant Orphanage. After a visit to the orphanage we have lunch (cost included) whilst watching the elephants taking their daily bath in the local river. We then continue on to Colombo, where we check in to the Taj Samudra HotelDAY 18 Tuesday 16 December
