We depart Christchurch this morning and travel south across the Canterbury Plains, then turn inland to Mackenzie Country (named after a 19th century sheep rustler) where we will stop for lunch at Morelea Farm. After lunch we will proceed to the beautiful, turquoise coloured Lake Tekapo. We make a stop to view the Church of the Good Shepherd before proceeding to Peppers Bluewater Resort, where we will base ourselves for two nights. This morning we travel past Lake Pukaki to Aoraki/Mt Cook – at 3,754 metres it is the highest peak in Australasia. There will be the opportunity to take an alpine trail walk and/or visit the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre. We will also get up close and personal with Tasman Glacier as we board a custom built boat to journey across the Tasman Glacier Terminal Lake. Today we continue on through yet more stunning scenery up to Lindis Pass, alongside the mighty Clutha River and through the spectacular Kawarau gorge to Arrowtown gold-rush village and then on to NZ’s premier year-round alpine resort – Queenstown. This morning we take a spectacular 35 minute flight across glaciers, rivers, lakes & rainforest to the truly spectacular Fiordland National Park where we will take an unforgettable scenic cruise through the sheer mountains of stunning Milford Sound. Flights may be cancelled if weather conditions are poor, in which case we will reschedule the trip for the following day by coach to Milford (approx. 5 hours) and return by air (again weather permitting).

To make the most of our time, this morning we will check out of our Auckland hotel and travel down to Seddon Park, Hamilton (approx. 1.5 hours) for today’s day/night ODI commencing at 2pm. At the conclusion of the game we will carry on to the Millennium Hotel, Rotorua (approx. 1.5 hours) where your room and luggage will be ready and waiting for a two night stay.Monday 26 February bd
After yesterday’s long day, we will have a leisurely morning before heading out for a tour of Rotorua including the Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve to see the boiling mud pools, steaming silica terraces and the geyser activity. Late morning we will coach across to Tauranga (approx. one hour) for a mooch around the seafront and a leisurely lunch before heading to the 2nd ODI, which is a day/night game at nearby Bay Oval, Mt Maunganui. At the close of play, we will transfer back to Rotorua.Thursday 01 March b
This morning, enjoy a late check out before we head to Rotorua airport for our afternoon flight to the national capital, Wellington. Upon arrival we check into the Sofitel hotel for a four night stay.Friday 02 March blc
Join us on a guided day exploring the city of Wellington, the harbour and the surrounding hills. Included is a 90 minute guided tour of the world renowned Te Papa – NZ’s National Museum – as well as a visit to Zealandia – a 225 hectare urban eco-sanctuary of native forest and 40 species of birds. Before immersing yourself into the ODI series, why not take a few days to recover from your flight and discover the outstanding beauty of NZ’s renowned Bay of Islands? As well as the incredible natural beauty of this area, you will be at the birthplace of modern New Zealand – where the Maori and British signed the Waitangi Treaty back in 1840.
