ENGLAND CRICKET TOUR TO SOUTH AFRICA
DECEMBER 2019 – JANUARY 2020
As a small, family company we do not take hundreds of fans to each Test match. Instead we will have two or three groups with a maximum of 36 people per tour. Each tour has its own dedicated Tour Director who travels with their group throughout
- Tour Ambience
Our tours generally attract a good mix of couples, friends and solo travellers – both male and female. Our experienced Tour Directors are there to ensure that everything goes smoothly and to ensure that every one of our clients has a brilliant experience. Each tour group is limited to a maximum of 36 passengers so that your Tour Director can comfortably manage the group and still have plenty of time to attend to each individual’s needs.
- Tour Directors
Martin Denyer is our lead Tour Director. He is supported by John Allen, Brian Corcoran, Sue Keel or Clare Hind as necessary. All our Tour Directors have worked with us for many years and are very experienced, so rest assured you are in good hands.
All hotels featured in our South Africa tours have been personally visited by either Brian Corcoran – our MD – and/or Martin Denyer, our principle Tour Director. Generally we have chosen 5-star properties, with a couple of excellent 4-star properties added because of their proxiity to facilities and/or the cricket ground. Whilst Trip Advisor can be misleading (because you can’t please all the people all the time), all accommodation chosen has at least 4 out of 5 circles on Trip Advisor.
- International flights
We do not include international flights in our tour prices to allow you maximum flexibility with your choice of UK airport, airline and class of travel. Naturally, we are happy to help you with options and quotes, but you are also free to book your own flights online or to use your frequent flyer points, if you wish.
- Share a room to avoid the single supplement
If you are travelling on your own and would like to avoid the single supplement, please let us know and we will attempt to match you up with a like minded traveller.
- Health requirements
We strongly recommend that you contact your GP well in advance of departure for up to date information on compulsory and/or recommended vaccinations.
- Passport/Visa requirements
You must have a current passport with at least 6 months validity at the date of your return to the UK.
South Africa and Botswana: British passport holders do not require a visa, but the passport should be valid for at least 30 days after your intended return date and contain at least two blank pages.
Zambia: British Passport holders require an entry visa, which can be obtained at the port of entry. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay in Zambia and have a minimum of 2 blank pages marked with the words “VISA” or “ENTRIES”
- The climate Care Trust
If you are concerned about the damage your flight may inflict on the environment, you might like to consider purchasing an ‘offset’ from The Climate Care Trust at www.climatecare.org or telephone 01865 591 000. Your contribution will be used to fund sustainable energy and reforestation projects to maintain a climate-neutral effect. The recommended contribution for a return economy flight to South Africa is approximately £20
- Financial Security
When you book one of our packaged tours, including flights, your holiday is ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 5796. Details of ATOL coverage can be found at www.caa.co.uk/atol
