England in Sri Lanka: October & December 2007

Sri Lanka is wonderful! Lovely people, awesome culture (7 World Heritage Sites!), beautiful beaches and first-rate cricket await!

In all, England will play 5 One Day Internationals in October, return to the UK for a month and then go back to Sri Lanka for a 3 Test series in December, including the first Test match at the newly re-built Galle Cricket Stadium which was devastated by the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004. Because Sri Lanka is small there is a perception that it is easy to see everything. However, poor roads and chaotic traffic make travel very slow. Therefore, in formulating our itineraries we have opted for quality over quantity.

Spend 2 nights on the beach at Negombo and 3 nights in Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle before heading to Kandy for the 1st Test. After the cricket we return to Negombo for a further 2 days R&R before heading home. More details...
