Tuesday 19 DecemberUpon arrival into Cairns, we transfer by coach along one of Australia’s most picturesque roads to Port Douglas (approximately 1 hour). Check in to Peppers Beach Club and relax! Evening at leisure.
Wednesday 20 December b lToday we join the Low Isles Sailaway catamaran for an unforgettable full day cruise to the Great Barrier Reef. We will spend 4 ½ hours at tropical Low Isles, a Coral Cay Island. All the snorkelling gear is included and tuition will be provided for beginners and non-swimmers. There is also a glass bottom boat for viewing if you prefer to keep your head above water. [N.B. an alternative cruise will be arranged for those who wish to scuba dive].
Thursday 21 December b lToday we travel to the Daintree National Park in an air-conditioned luxury purpose-built 4WD vehicle visiting Mossman Gorge Centre for a guided tour and morning tea. It is then onto spectacular Cape Tribulation for a walk on this world-renowned rainforest beach. After lunch at a private rainforest property, we head to Alexandra Lookout and then onto a cruise along the Daintree River.
Friday 22 December bTake a day off to enjoy your surroundings in Port Douglas. Or if you are keen to see more you can take an optional tour (own expense) to places such as Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures or Kuranda, with its superb Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and scenic railway.
Saturday 23 December bThis morning we transfer to Cairns airport to catch our flights to Melbourne or return to the UK.
